Andrea (Annie) is a seeker and giver of wisdom, generosity, and joy!
She has dedicated the past 20 years to working with and for organizations that strengthen communities and grow liberation for all. Dr. Hernandez is the President of Growing Giving, LLC, seeding thoughtful social justice philanthropy and change. Her current signature project is The Conflict Transformation Fund, along with family foundation clients providing strategy and coaching support, along with designing intentional intergenerational spaces (all online these days) for planning, action, and healing.
Annie serves on the national boards for the Grantmakers for Effective Organizations and Learning to Give. Social change efforts Annie has led and supported in family foundations and nonprofits have been shared in the New York Times, nationally and locally televised, and published in field articles and books. Annie previously served as the executive director for the Frieda C. Fox Family Foundation and led the national development of Youth Philanthropy Connect. Along with her Ph.D. in Leadership and Change, she is a certified 21/64 trainer and is trained in the Immunity to Change personal conflict transformation framework. She and her husband, George Rodriguez, along with their young son, Marcelo, live in Spokane, Washington and are founding members of the Los Angeles Latino Giving Circle.
