Maui Giving

Growing Giving, LLC has been on the ground providing care, supplies, and resources to Maui Wildfire survivors and others impacted.

Dr. Andrea Hernandez Rodriguez and her family live near the hospital and the War Memorial on Maui where the initial evacuation and recovery coordination efforts were centered. As someone trained to support people through traumatic change, she began volunteering as a counselor early on at the War Memorial sitting talking story with survivors and witnessing firsthand the local Hawai’ians leading community organizing efforts prior to others being mobilized and continuing to do so.

Now, Uncle Eddie Dias and Dr. Andrea travel at least once a week to the Westside to visit the community hubs and deliver donated and requested supplies and talk story with survivors and those supporting them at the hubs and hotels or places they are staying. You will usually find them with extra essential supplies, crystals, baked goods, or flowers to share.

Dr. Andrea is also a volunteer with the Maui Medics Healer Hui who, in sisterhood with the Mauna Medic Healers Hui, are a Kānaka Maoli led team that provides grassroots community driven services and empowers the people through creating spaces for healing in times of struggle, disaster and trauma.

Please reach out directly to Dr. Andrea at 808.868.9045 for support, to schedule a visit, or to coordinate giving. Mahalo!

Maui Organizer Supply Wishlist

While there have been so many amazing donations, the amount of unusable donations and trash it creates, is not helpful, especially in such a small, remote place.

Local organizers and the community run hubs have been and are asking for specific supplies.

We have put together and regularly update this Maui Organizer Supply Wishlist on Amazon to have items sent directly to Growing Giving’s headquarters.  We share the donated items with local organizers or take them directly to the community-run hubs for immediate use.

If you would like to ship or fly over a large quantity of supplies or solar powered generators; please reach out.
